Pedophile Update

It seems that the Nebraska-Kansas pedophile marriage case has prompted Kansas to consider changing its law. http://www.kansas.com/mld/kansas/news/12266670.htm. This is good, but I still have to wonder what the mom was thinking that it was better to let her daughter marry a pedophile than to help her daughter raise the baby as a single mother.

"How I Spent My Summer Vacation - Judge-Style"

Nebraska U.S. District Judge F.A. Gossett was mentioned in today's edition of Florida Today. Seems he and another judge just spent two weeks in the former Soviet Republic of Tadjikistan training 22 judges as part of an effort to restore an effective legal system to former USSR countries. Those judges will train other judges. Has the Omaha World-Herald run any sort of story about this?
